APA, or an American pale ale, is a new-wave, standing out beer that brings an all justified smile of joy on the faces of all hop lovers. It is abundantly hopped, but mostly for the aroma’s sake also during cold fermentation. It is fruity in character with a distinct smell of flowers and forest raisins. It may well be said that it is a younger sibling of the fully loaded AIPA, which makes it more session like and ideal for tasting, devouring … for pure pleasure.

Tap at Beer & Bones. Med-thin body, medium carbonation. Med-high bitterness, med-light caramel sweetness. Mostly hoppy, classic citrusy fruity character. Easy drinking, good.

Keg at Jabeerwocky, Warsaw. Cloudy pale orange, small head. Aroma of tangerine and cardboard. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Wet cardboard, orange and mango. Mid bitter finish.

Tap @Jabeerwocky, Warsaw. Cloudy golden, white head. Peachy, grapefruit and malt aroma. Sweet flavour, malt, grapefruit, sweet citrus. Light but refreshing.

Draught. Pale orange with a full head. Aroma of citrus grain. Flavour is orange, dusty hop, light texture. Fruity sweet base.

Keg at Jabeerwocky, 13/07/19. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is tangerine, grassy notes, citric tinged straw, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, melon, grass, airy malts. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. For a keg beer this seemed a touch limp and past its best.
