Well-rounded porter with fruity, sweet notes over a backdrop of hoppy flavour. Deep red in colour but not in taste, the plum lightens the depth on the palate.

A deep dark reddish copper porter with a thick frothy creamy lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light fruity esters, light diacetyl, OK. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with light fruity esters, light chocolate, light mineral notes, pleasant. Cask at the Rocket (Wetherspoon), London.

Cask at The Stockbridge Tap (2017) and nitro can from House Of Trembling Madness (2025). Clear ruby/brown body with a medium beige head that holds well. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood, Ribena and tinned peach. Flavour of tea, underripe plum and a hint of bubblegum. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Tangy and interesting, but one is enough.

500 ml bottle, from Left Field Beer, England. ABV is 4.9%. Mahogany colour, large beige head. Pleasant aroma of roast malts, chocolate and plums. The flavour has the same elements, smooth and easy drinking. An unexpected medicinal bitterness in the aftertaste.
