Our brewmaster Wolfgang Lindell and his team had a wish to brew a saison with a little twist. They wanted to spice it up with a dry hops with a fruity character. On a visit to E.C. Dahls' sister brewery (Brooklyn Brewery in New York), Wolfgang found what he was looking for; the Ella hops was the perfect match for the fruity notes in our Belgian yeast. And when Wolfgang smashed the hops in his hands to smell, it was clear that it should be followed by another hops variety - Bravo! Bravo is used in our Bolt IPA and has become a hops variety we have grown very fond of. The Belgian yeast gives a nice finish and the beer smells slightly yeasty. The taste brings a modern sweet fruitiness with notes of banana and tropical fruits. It features floral and elderflower notes with a hint citrus from the hops. The hops and yeast aroma is balanced and the brew slightly bitter. The wheat gives a mild creamy texture. The beer has a longlasting aftertaste.

330ml bottle from my local Prix store. A bubbly white head resting over a hazy grey-golden body. Minimal lacing. Slightly smoked malty nose, hints of grass and bread. Taste of spiced grassy hops featuring hints of meat and mid-sweet citrus. Mid-dry fruity end. Soft in the mouth. Aright without further excitements. (Tromsø 26.08.2017).

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange colour with an off-white head. Spicy aroma of cloves, Belgian yeast, grass, hay, tropical citrus fruits and grains. The flavour is light and more malty with hay, grains, grass and fruity Belgian yeast in the background. Has a slick mouth feel, light body, and light bitterness. A well-balanced and easy drinking saison. A little careful flavour.

Flaske 330ml fra Eide Handel. Mørk gylden. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Spotlacing. Aroma av mango & fersken. Smaken det samme. En uvanlig lager.

0.33l bottle. This is a near clear golden colored one, a medium sized of fading off-white head on the top top. On the nose it's nice and saison spicy. A little orange peely, citrus almost. Saison yeast, white sugary, traces of canned pear. Smells surprisingly nice. It has a really thin and watery texture in the mouth, just below average on the carbonation.. Nice and quite clean in the taste. Hints of banana, pear. Fruits - the canned type. A little peel. Lots of pepper in the finish. Yeah, really lightdrinkable, a tad watery though. 16.05.2017

Bottle. A minimal sized white head sits on top of an almost clear orange-golden body. The aroma is fruity, peppery and piney, with some notes of banana and cloves. Tropical fruits mostly. It’s quite dry on the palate, rather high on carbonation, too high for my preference, and medium bodied. Sort of sticky on the tongue, but not really sweet either. Peppery, fruity and lightly piney flavor, with a lasting finish. I’m not too fond of the mouthfeel of this one, but the peppery and piney touch are really nice. Will I buy it again? Perhaps. 170522

Bottle, half a year before bbd. Pours hazy orange, with a finger thick, rocky head. Aroma is sweetish, fruity yeast, with spicy hay and barnyard, as well as grainy malts with toffee. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is yeast with berries and fruit peel, as well as hay and wood, and herbal hops with citrusy notes, followed by sweet malts with caramels. Short dry finish.
