330ml bottle, 6.5 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Bankkvartalet in Trondheim last summer. Coal black body. Crocheted lacing from a huge, creamy tan-coloured head. Dark, mid-sweet doughy smell. Slightly roasted dark malty flavours with hints of chocolate and a coffee touch to the ending. Medium bodied. Pleasing (Shared with Finn, Tromsø 24.04.2017).

0.33l medicine bottle. A gusher! Flows out of the bottle instantly after popping the cap. Pouring it I the glass it only leaves a massive foamy over carbonated bubbly mess of a head. Waiting the 5 minutes it takes, I can see a deeper dark brownish body under a dirty looking foamy lacing head. It smells dry and roasted. Traces of both sour coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Mild nutty behind the chocolate, and not bad smelling at all. It's as expected quite high and near aggressive on the carbonation this, mild oily in the mouth. A little papery, hints of licorice towards the finish. Nice tasting, but the high carbonation kinda ruins it a bit. 31.12.2016

Duft av karamell og noe kaffe. Dyp mørk farge, nesten sort. Dekkende brunt skum, heng langs kant. Smak av røyk, med en liten avslutning av karamell.

On tap at the brewpub. Almost black with a creamy tan head. Roasted malt both in the aroma and taste. Also quite a lot of coffee. The finish was bitter and dry with some dark chocolate. This one was the best one that I sampled at the brewery.

On tap @ Christianssand Brygghus. Dark amber body with a small, dense tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and decent bitterness. Fine body with a nice roasted and fruity aftertaste. A nice and smooth classic porter.
