190ml, as Oslo Julebrygg (2022) 8 % abv., draught, sample tray at the brewpub. Covering pearl white head, deep copper coloured body, dotted spots on the glass. Lightly spiced caramel malts on the nose, nicely roasted. The taste profile is dominated by brittle caramel, nuts, and yuletide spices. Rounded roasted, mid-sweet finish warming down the swallow. Yuletide feel in spring. (Oslo, 17.04.2023).

0.5l bottle. Oh, my it's been quite a while since I've had anything from Oslo Mikrobryggeri. In the glass this one pours a cloudy deep bronze colored body with a nice lasting almost creamy head that's leaving lots of good old lacings down the sides of the glass. On the nose I get a really nice freshness, lots of orange zesty freshness, a little spiciness. There's tones of chocolate and darker malts. Yeah, smells quite fresh and inviting this one. Tastes a lot. It's really malt oriented, heavy and thick oily in the texture and softer prickling on the bubbles. There's a little unwanted almost yeast nutty thing I don't particularly love in these kind of beers. Chocolate traces and a little alco warmth in the finish before it ends quite hoppy and bitter. All in all not a bad Christmas brew. 28.11.2015
