A bit weird. Good or bad….ehh. No big errors, but nothing I really want to buy again either.
Clear deep nutty color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing down the sides of the glass. Looks quite ok. The aroma reminds me of malt extract that you give to small children when their stomach is out of order. Medium + body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Malty, toffee and some dried fruits in the flavor.
[On tap at source as Winter Ale]

21.12.2015, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is dry grainy, weeds, roasted grain, minerals, paper, plastics, old leafs, moss, grass, bark, hay, harsh hops. Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, bark, minerals, harsh grass, old leafs, yeast, hops, paper, roasted grain. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel, slightly fizzy carbonation. Not my cup of tea...

500 ml bottle, as Mikrobryggeriet Oslo Julebrygg. ABV is 6.5%. Malts are pale, crystal, chocolate, amber, wheat. Hops are Zeus, Galena, Centennial and Amarillo. Cloudy brown colour, large off-white head. Pleasant aroma of citrussy American hops, also notes of tropical fruits and pine needles. The flavour is neiher to sweet nor too dry, with the same hoppy elements as in the aroma. A very good beer, but there is nothing particularly Christmassy about it. This is a fine IPA in my book - not an English strong ale.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy mahogany color with a big creamy beige head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, nuts, bread and spices. The flavor is similar with more grapefruit, pine and bread in the aftertaste. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium bitterness. A decent ale and is surprisingly hoppy.

Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal, des-15: uklar kobberfarge (slutten av flasken) med fint skum. Smaker som en lett bitter tilsatt ekstra karamell. Underwhelming.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.11.15. Muddy, pale brown. Off-white head. Aroma of pears, apples and yeast. Taste is much better, with malt, marmalade, some caramel, christmas cakes, pumkins and cloves.

Bottled@AIH53. (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Hazy orange colour with a medium white head. Aroma is quite hoppy grassy, floral and some herbal notes. Flavour is quite grassy, herbal, wooden and mild grainy notes. Quite a bittery earthy aftertaste too.

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø - Langnes. Ekstremt uklar. Høyt tett skum med tynn lacing. Beskjeden litt søt fruktaroma. Smaken avrundet. Lett krydret. Syrlig & bitter etter hvert. Avslutter tørt.

Draught @ OMB. Hazy, reddish brown body with a beige head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Flavor is slightly roasted malt, caramel, a bit fruity and some bitterness. Nice and harmonic, but I feel for some more sting at this alcohol level, more of something and definitively more hops.
