Black with thin creamy head. Very roasty aroma, charred malts. Very roasty flavour too. Strong bittersweetness. No real Wasabi (luckily).

On tap @ Crowbar. Well, it definitely looks like a stout this. Deep and dark brown, perhaps even a little black looking there in the glass and it has a nice small islandy and lacing beige head. On the nose I get tones of cold coffee, a mild roasted tone all the way and hints of dark berries in the back. Tastes quite nice also lots of coffee! So much that I'm suspecting that it has been added some coffee in this. In the mouth it has a somewhat light oily feeling and it's just above average on the bubbles. Wasabi? No, not any real traces really, but it's never the less a tasty little stout this. 25.05.2014

On tap @ Crowbar. Dark brown, almost black body with a small beige head. Nice aroma with dark malt, some roast and coffee. Flavor is sweet roasted malt, dry fruit, coffee and chocolate. Did not find the wasabi here. Fine body, strong and balanced. A pretty solid one, my first sample from Crowbar.

Draught @ Crowbar & Bryggeri, Oslo
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, licorice and something spicy. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, ash and licorice finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. A dark brown to black beer with a dark beige head of moderate size. The aroma is mostly roasted, but the wasabi is pretty evident. Coffee and some bonfire too. Full to medium body, soft carbonation. Semi dry. The flavor has a touch of wasabi, but not the burning sensation. Bonfire and coffee too. Lasting finish. A pretty decent one. 140501
