Snit glass taster, tap at the brewpub. Clear mahogany coloured body. Low layer blanketing the glassware. Spiced fruity aroma, herbal dry. Taste of dusty hops and chocolate malts supported by spices leading to an ending of bitter-dry pine needles. Well bodied. A good one (Oslo 25.11.2013).

Appearance: Black with a subtle red color. Tan head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Dark malt and light spicy.
Palate: Medium plus body. Moderate sweet and a mild bitterness. Smooth carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, roasted malt and a bit spicy. Not difficult to guess that it is wasabi when you read at the board.
Overall impression: I really enjoyed this one. Hopefully they keep brewing this beer!
Personal stats: On tap @ source.

Small brown head. Clear deep dark red body. Fruity spicy licorice aroma with herbal notes. Dry, and faintly sweet, spicy licorice taste with roasty fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, delicate mouthfeel. Dryish roasty salmiak licorice and spice aftertaste with sooty dusty notes. Lovely! Really delicate and harmonic, with excellent clarity of flavour. (0.2l draft at brewpub.)

On tap at Crowbar. Very dark with a reddish hue. Mild roasty aroma with spices and hints of hops, chocolate, coffe and fruits. A bit sweet and lightly spicy with a fairly dry and pleasant finish. Smooth and enjoyable (2012-12-20)
