On tap at the brewpub. It’s a clear, amber colored beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head leaving curtains. Cloves, caramel maltyness and dark dried fruits in the aroma. Far from super-complex, but nice indeed, which goes for the flavor too. It’s semi-sweet on the palate, with a balancing bitterness and the same dried fruits, clove-like spice and caramel malts found in the nose. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. A nice one, with too much cloves, but it’s quite smooth anyway. 141127

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Clear mahogany with a than head. Spicy aroma with cardamom, cinnamon and other slightly Christmassy spices and hints of caramel and tea. Medium sweet with spicy flavours a fairly mild bitterness. Tasty and gives me Christmas associations.

On tap @ Crowbar. A cloudy dark amber almost Cola looking one, only a soft lacing white little head on top. On the nose I get nice tones of cardamom, lavender and tea. It has quite a comfortable and nice nose this. In the mouth it's mild oily with a soft prickling carbonation level. Again the lavender and cardamom sticks in the taste. I get some cinnamon with traces of licorice and heather. Lots and lots of spices that all cooperate in harmony. Really good. Would not mind more of this. 14.02.2014

14.02.2014, tap @ Crowbar:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly spiced, caramel malts, cardamom, grass, clove, almonds, nuts. Taste is slightly sweet and spiced, caramel malts, grain, cardamom, nuts, hay, close. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Small glass, tap at the brewpub, 5.2 % abv. Clear chestnut body colour. Ring to the rim of the surface. Fine lacework to the glassware. Malt-fruity nose with a prominent touch of ginger (Chai?). Caramel malty flavours joined by ginger spices and herbal hops. Malt-fruity ending. Medium bodied. Tasty (Meet up with Cunningham, Oslo 12.02.2014).
