On tap at Patrick’s. A black one topped by a small off-white head. Curtains. Light roasted aroma with raisins and hints of coffee. It’s full bodied and nicely carbonated, semi-dry. Roasted malts, coffee hints, some raisins and a decent bitterness in the flavor, lasting for a good while. Quite nice this one. 150710

On tap at Schouskjelleren, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose brings out roasted malt and dry crusty bread. Flavour is the same, with roasted malt and dry bready notes. Big body with a dry finish. Very good.

Draught. Medium black with a mocha head, again good lacing. Toasted roasted coffee, a little burnt, a little creamy, lovely.

Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, dark malts, winegum, caramel, hay, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits. Taste is slightly sweet roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, chocolate, caramel, hay, grass, coffee. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel, high carbonation. Fair enough.

On tap @ Schouskjelleren. Yeah, I can vouch for the fact that it is quite black this. Almost as good as pitch and it has a nice medium sized really lacing deep brown top. They nose is filled with her sweet chocolate, cocoa powder, chocolate ice cream, vanilla tones and a good roastiness. Nice! It's surprisingly bitter in there taste. They mouthfeel is nice and oily and then carbonation level is mild and prickling. Almost soapy bitter in a way, but it also has lots and lots of dry cocoa powder bitterness. Both chocolate and molasses found in the taste as well. Yeah, quite flavorful and tasty. 18.10.2013
