On tap at Oslo Mikrobryggfest. Has a hazy yellow colour with an off-white head. Lots of phenols, yeast, banana, white bread and wheat. The flavour is similar but with more pale malt, hay and a sweet background. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a light bitterness. Sweet and decent hefe-weizen but the phenols are quite dominant though.

Tap @ Oslo Mikrobryggeri, Oslo. Pours a light near-clear golden-yellowish body with a small sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is light sour with something that actually reminds me much of wild-yeast. Also hints of hay, wood and cherries. Strange stuff.. Light-bodied, average to soft carbonation and it has a mild watery texture. Tastes just as sour and acidic as the aroma suggested, with notes of hay and sour grapes. This actually can bear resemblance to a mild lambic. Liked it, even though it was a bit light-bodied and I think a bit to sour for a hefe.

Draught @ OMB. Slightly hazy, pale golden body with a medium white head. Aroma is quite typical, banana, yeast and spicy. Flavor is refreshing citrus with some lemon. I find this really refreshing and well balanced.

On tap at the brewpub. Served too hot. Pale yellow-golden and a small, white head. Weak aroma with banana and some cloves. Sweet flavor with banana and grainy notes. Creamy, carbonated mouthfeel, but a bit thin and sticky. The finish has some lemony notes, as well as banana and spices. Not worth returning for. (060827)

On tap at the brewpub. Very pale colour, nearly crystal clear, appearance more of a Kristallweizen than a Hefe. Served with a lemon wedge on the rim of the glass, not IN the beer, T.G. Moderate head. Typical weissbier aroma: citrus, banana and cloves. The aroma was somewhat "disturbed" by the fact that the brewer was cleaning the brewing vessels with the door open while I was there, a strong wort aroma filled the brewpub, but that’s a rather charming part of the game IMO. The flavour is more citrussy / lemony than most German weissbiers. Light bodied and refreshing, a very moderate bitterness in the finish. An okay thirstquencher, but certainly no masterpiece.

330ml on tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow and a surprisingly clear body for the style. Small head. Sweet aroma of cloves and banana. Light flavour of coriander and ending with a sourish touch. Crisply, watery and lively carbonated (Oslo, 22.08.2006).
