Big 750ml bottle, batch 528, carried back home from Meny Oslo City and shared with Elisabeth, Finn and Stefan. Fawn-coloured head slowly fading over a slightly unclear, red-brownish coloured body. Inviting grainy chocolate nose. Flavoured with dark chocolate malts, nuts and a nice roasted bittersweet end. Thin, however, not diluted in any way. Well crafted (at Finns in Tromsø, 09.04.2014).

Bottle @ Cardinal. Dark brown body with a medium sized tan head. Not strong, but pleasant aroma of malt, hint of toast, caramel and chocolate. Flavor is mild as well, smooth roasted malt, toast, chocolate, dry fruit and moderate bitterness. Body is rather thin but acceptable in consideration with the low ABV. OK, smooth aftertaste. A fine version of mild, not the very best I have tasted, but definitively decent and I could easy have it again every now and then.

God maltrik smak, men likevel litt for tørr etter min smak.

Old rating, 0,75l bottle @ home:

Lett syrlig bitterhet i avslutningen.

On tap at Håndverkerstuene. Pours reddish dark brown with al light brown head. Aroma of malt, lightly roasted. Sweet and malty with a slightly bitter finish. A bit watery, but quite nice considering it is only 3,7% ABV. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Meny at Grønland, Oslo. Hazy dark brown colour with a beige head. Roasty aroma. Moderate dry taste with hints of light coffee and some caramel. This beer would be perfect with 1 or 2 mor alc%

Cask at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Dark ruby colour, low off-white head. Roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, hints of ashes. Dry flavour, notes of cold coffee and ashes again, the mouthfeel is rather thin. As the Biblical manna that God "miraculously" provided for the Israelites in the desert (actually a natural plant secretion, according to more recent research) was reported to be "sweet like honey", I expected Kinn Manna to be a somewhat sweeter and richer beer than this. Drinkable of course, but not Kinn’s most exciting offering.
