Old rating, tap @ Naboen:
Fruktig sødmerik lukt med preg av malt, humle, gras, litt karamell, gjær og tørka frukt. Leskande, lett tørr smak med preg av malt, humle, gras, litt karamell og gjær. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Grei.

Bare flaks at der var et ledig bord på Naboen før konserten med Mark Knopfler: vi er tørste og høyt motiverte, og denne smakte aldeles fortreffelig mens vi fordypet oss i barmenyen (ja, vi skulle spise også!). Glir lett over ganen og skjerper ganglaget. En aldeles god og typeriktig bitter.

250ml draught at Naboen. Near-clear, amber coloured body. Low, lacing-head. Semi-dry, bittering malty nose. Taste of buttery malts, marmelade and dusty hops. Bitter endnotes. Quite orrdinary for the style (drinking with ClubGonzo in Bergen, 17.09.2012).

On tap @ Naboen. Slightly hazy orange/golden body with a small white head. Aroma has some caramel and lots of butterscotch. Flavor is sweet malt, butterscotch and a hint of acidity. Medium body with an unpleasant aftertaste. This was not my best experience at all from Kinn. Not totally bad, but I did not feel for finishing my glass.

On tap at Naboen. It’s a hazy, dark golden beer topped by a layer of off-white bubbles. There’s a butterscotch touch in the aroma, some fruitiness, and a little maltiness. Caramel hints. Hard carbonation, medium body, with a little caramel maltiness, some bitterness and a little butterscotch. Grains and some fruitiness too. A little bitterness in the finish. A rather unpleasant one, boring too. Hope it’s just an old keg. 120908

On tap at Naboen. Has a amber colour and is slightly hazy. Typical british bitter aroma with sweet malt of caramel and grains. This is also present in flavours but with a more distinct touch of grassy hops, and surprisingly more bitterness than a regular bitter. A typical slick mouthfeel. A real good interpretation of the bitter-style.

Tap @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a semi clear light brown body with a thin bubbly off-white head. Aroma is low with thin notes of light, yet, exclusive caramel, some nice low fruitiness, grassy hops, and some dark nut-malty notes. Body is medium, texture is slick and somewhat oily, and the carbonation level is quite low. Good caramel tastes, flowerish and slightly herbal with a nice grassy bitterness. It really tastes like a good bitter should. Sometimes I think the traditional English bitters can get quite one dimensional and boring, but this is not like that at all. Ends in a fresh and kind bitter caramel finish. Good stuff!
