Dynamo is brewed in the Austrian tradition, using only malted barley, and featuring a notably spicy hop flavor. As always, we're focused on finesse and balance, as a smooth cereal sweetness gives way to a toasty finish

12oz can. Filtered copper-orange body. Thin, off-white head. Easy going, rather perfect Vienna. Not too heavy with the malts, really has an exceptional balance. Simple but sublime.

Bottle at Ben and Alida’s wedding - Chicago. Pours clear, deep copper-gold with a white cream topping. Caramel and bready malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with notes of cereal, rich bread, light berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish with some toasted grains, caramel and light, leafy hops. Pretty decent amber lager.

Draft. Clear amber color with a thin tan head. Light and malty aroma. Clean, earthy hop. Not overly sweet with a mild bitterness as well. Solid beer.

Reviewed from notes as I just found this next to the previous beer I just reviewed from my brother in law who lives in IL.
The three beers I had of this was poured into pilseners every time.
The appearance was a nice looking amber to copper color with a decent half fingered white foamy head that died practically immediately.
The smell had a decent looking roasted malt to bitter hops, it seemed well balanced to me. As it warms, there’s even a slight spiciness to it.
The taste had a nice sweet yet crisp maltiness running about my tastebuds. It seemed like the aftertaste had a long sweet roastiness running about it. There was a quick yet crisp dry finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a medium in body and shows a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, is this an altbier or a Vienna lager? Uh...kinda like the commercial description, I honestly don’t care as I’d have this again and would love to have it with some pepperoni and mushroom pizza.

Bottle @ home via rotbox, thanks to TheAlum (I think). Pours a burnt orange appearance with a thin light brown head. A lot of toasty and husky grains in the nose. A fair amount of sweetness and a touch of citrus. Some grass. Decent mouth feel and finish but there is a lot of sweetness on the tongue. Grassy and doughy. Honey and toast. Decent carbonation. A bit old but decent.

Sample at Hopleaf. Clear amber color with a thin white head that recedes steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, caramel and mild grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a roast malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Thanks to Eugene for sharing - clear gold - frothy lace - lovely nose of honeyed maltiness, grassy and floral hops, bright fruitiness, melon rind - moderately frothy carbonation in the mouth - light, crisp - crackery malts, moderate minerality, floral, medium bitter hops - some clean honey-ish sweetness in the finish - light Vienna toastiness throughout - there is a very mild huskiness on the tail end that is the only drawback - otherwise this is quite a nice lager.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a mostly clear copper with minimal head. Aroma is pretty weak. A little caramel and straw. Taste is light sweet. Caramel with a little spice. Full bodied with a slightly thick texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Not standout but drinkable.

Lou Malnati’s, Chicago tap ($5.50): Pours an amberish color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malts and a little bit of hops. Taste is pretty straightforward and was right what I needed after a very long walk. Obviously, there isn’t much in the way of hops or anything. Caramel malts throughout. Nice and crisp at the same time. Well-balanced.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint at Dunlay’s in the logan square neighborhood - Chicago, Illinois. Pour is clear golden copper, with a nice white head. Aroma is nice soft floral hops, on top of clean cracker malt. Fresh, though a bit underwhleming. Taste is the nose, soft floral hops up front, decent backbone of malt in the middle, slight earth and mineral in the finish. Light to medium bodied, though a tad uncarbonated which made it a bit dead in the mouth.Taste broke down a bit as it warmed, though still nice enough.
