Bottle thanks to Homer. Pours opaque black, medium creamy dark brown head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is full of maple, notes of bourbon, cocoa, more maple. Flavor is quite sweet, light plus bitter. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. This beer hurt me. I was not planning to, but I drank the entire fucken bomber after a few other things and I was not in a happy place the next morning.

650 ml bottle, spilt 3 ways. Black liquid with fast dying white head. Aroma is maple covered French toast, syrup, mild coffee, chocolate. Flavor has a huge amount of maple sugar, coffee base. The sweet sugar starts to become cloying, after 4 ounces it is hard to get down. The bourbon is almost overrun with sugar. Good, not great.

Acquired in a trade. Bomber split 3 ways at 35F and allowed to warm up. Enjoyed in a Teku Glass.

A - Small head leaving a small line. This is really dark. totally black, oily, booze legs on the glass.

S - this smells insane! I'v never smelt so much maple syrup in a beer. Is this 50% maple syrup? milk chocolate, tons of vanilla

T - This is overwhelmingly whiskey / bourbon. it's actually robust old coffee, oak charr to the extreme and an overwhelming amount of sweetness.

M - Really thin and oily, the lingering smoke flavor and maple wood is a downer

O - This is intense, more intense than the ABV would suggest. Not very balanced for what Cycle has presented in the past.

Thanks to ElManana+1! Bomber sampled @ RBBSG17. Black, tanned head. Nose is cacao, chocolate, bourbon syrup, mocha, cacao nibs all the way, syrup, sugar. Taste is ridiculously sweet but delicious hazelnut & cacao nibs syrup, mocha, faint molasses, maple, pralines. So bloody thick & so near overkill but it still rules.

Taste: very sweet start, lots of chocolate, nutty touch, dark chocolate, roasted, alcohol, bit sweet. Aftertaste: sugary, alcohol, some bourbon, more chocolate, mocha, bit acidic, lots and lots of chocolate, nutty touch. Lovely beer!

Bottle, shared at Northern Monk. Not far off black. Ring of loose, tan bubbles. Super leggy and viscous. Nose has charred wood. Treacle. Vanilla pod. Bonfire toffee. Christmas cake mix. Lots going on here. Taste is sweet and saline in equal measure. Lots of savoury. Some fruity, charred wood bitterness. Rich and smooth mouthfeel, broken up by a light, prickly fizz. Long, relatively light, bitter finish. Easy drinking, whilst being rich and tasty.
