12oz bottle pours clear deep copper with thin loose off white head. The mild aroma has some malts with caramel hints and some lager yeast notes. The taste tries to be refreshing but a descent load of malty caramel and roast weigh on the experience. Behind those notes are thin layers of lager yeast and grains. Don’t know what makes this a “winter” beer

12 ounce bottle from the winter sampler. Pours a clear amber color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is malty and slightly nutty with faint fruit notes. Taste is nutty and malty with notes of caramel, light berries and other fruit notes, toasted malts and nail polish. Medium bodied.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a nut brown-amber color with a large tan head. The aroma was tangy, sour lager with a touch of nut, vague fruits and mint. The flavor was tangy, malty and nutty with a faint note of caramel and a light fruity hop presence. The finish was moderate length sour and tangy malts. Medium body. Ok.
