Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 4/25/13

Aroma: The nose has the obvious cherry, along with some malt and bread notes
Appearance: It pours a reddish-orange color with a large, frothy, off-white head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet up-front, and then it gets rather tart in the mid-to-end palates
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a fairly fizzy mouthfeel, and a bit of an odd finish
Overall Impression: I didn't know what to expect from this one, but this one turned out to be pretty interesting. It was certainly more interesting than it was good, but still it was interesting.

Pour is a dark red with a fizzy pink head. Aroma is hard to find with just an ever so slight sourness coming out. Flavor is a little better with a decent helping of cherry followed by a strong puckering sourness. One of those beers i can say i tried but am never going to get again.

Crisp somewhat clear deep copper coloured body with a strong ruby highlight and a very thin tan head. Aroma of fresh cherries, apples and pears with a bit of yeast and malt - nothing else. Medium-bodied; Strong cherry flavour with some peaches and apricots tucked, along with some malt. Aftertaste shows a lot of sugar, some yeast and a bit of the fruits - more of the sweetness though. Overall, not a bad beer - perhaps showing too much sugar and fake fruits and not enough malt and hops...but this after all, is a fruit beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 22-December-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 24-January-2009.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright red color with a large light salmon head. The aroma was sour, tart and had a hint of cherry. The flavor was bitter, tart, sour and tangy with notes of cherry. The finish was medium length tart and sour berry. Interesting.

Bottle Pours out a redish amber topped with a off white cream head. Aroma of sweet cherry pie. A quick reminder of the famous Belg Red. Tast sweet with cherries a nice malt mix. I was very happy with this one.

12 oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquor on 91st Street. Bottled Apr - WK1 according to the label. Pour is a hazed orange golden with a two inch off white head. The head has a soft reddish pink hue to it. Nice, thick lacing left on the glass as the head retreats. Aroma of toasted malt, and some faint cherry tartness. The taste is more about the cherries than the nose, with immediate tart, sweet and sour fruit. Pronounced, and fresh tasting. The woodiness of the seeds and stems seems to be present as well. The base beer appears to be a clean, non-descript lager. The toasted maltiness is in the taste, with a nice sweetness. Clean, medium to light palate. After taste had a bit of a medicinal Sucret flavor to it. As the beer warmed, the herbal medicinal notes picked up quite a bit, and detracted from the flavor.

Pours a raspberry pink with a medium head that disappears quickly. Faint aroma of grain and sour cherries. Very tart cherry taste. No medicinal taste at all, which is my fear with cherry beers. Not all that bad!

Cherry aroma, but not the sweet red cherry kind; seems tart. Copper color with a white head that flattened rather quickly. Near medium body until the fizzy carbonation leaves, revealing something thinnish. Whoa, it is tart. The cherry flavor is like cherry pie flavor without the sugar. That goes on into something like pie crust or bread. The finish is sourish cherry, perhaps a touch of hop bitter. If the cherry tartness is balanced with sweetness, those were pretty sour cherries to start.

bottle - This beer has a reddish color and a mild cherry and malt aroma with a thin head. It has a light, tart, cherry malt taste, a light body, and an easy finish with an unfortunate metallic note to it. Not too good.
