Ooh Mama,....This Strong Scotch Style Ale is a malt-bomb of flavor. Dark and complex, it’s made for those who have a deep desire for a layered, malt depth in their beer. With hints of cocoa and black licorice throughout, and a mild sweetness that is balanced in the finish by restrained bitterness and pleasant alcoholic warmth, this is a flavorful brew fit for a King.

Bottle. Molasses brown in color with a small head. The perfect sweetness for a Scottish ale. Really liked this beer.

Dark brown, reddish, sweet nutty, dark fruit scotch ale aroma. Sweet chocolate flavors with fudge, hard candies, tootisie roll, walnut, peanuts, cocoa finish that’s sweet

Dark reddish brown color with a woody aroma. Flavor is roasted malt, a little sweet caramel, with a smoky finish. Good balance for the high alcohol.

Burned toast nose. Garnet brown, thin head. Horehound, elderberry, raisins. Full body, easy carbonation.

Absurdly sweet, Coca-Cola sweet, too much for a wee heavy sweet. Cocoa and clove and caramel and cola, all sugary and cloying as the pint warms. No alcohol on the palate but thin, and the pour is flat and calm and ugly as hell. Good lord this beer is sweet. Hard pass.

Bottle. Deep dark brown with garnet at the edges under a tall, mocha head. Complex aroma, caramel, coffee, licorice and alcohol. The flavor is sweet and follows the aroma without the alcohol. Nice winter beer.
