Can't remember what the original tasted like but this definitely ain't my thing. Bourbon barrel influx makes it like a barley wine. Super sweet and boozy. Brown pour with ok head. Caramel and sweet tobacco. Like drinking whisky from an ash tray. Sweet boozy end. Tap at brewery.

Black, red edges, not oily and a small Espresso Creme head. Bitter piney aroma but very faint. Hmmm,,,, super sweet flavor. Marshmallow, candy corn, Sasparilla, ginger, a lot of woodiness, meh

4 oz. draft at York River Landing. The Whiskey is pretty bold all around. Good body and mouthfeel. Strong warming after the sip. Booze feels good in the belly. Easy the best thing Dogfish has done in years. Mostly the whiskey barrel in this one.

Sampled on draft at Hugo's this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was malty with red wine, whiskey, floral hops and chocolate. The flavor was bitter with red wine, toasty malts, chocolate, marshmallow and whiskey. Long red wine and whiskey finish. Moderately full bodied.

On tap at Belmont. Pours a dark brown color with a small white head. A big boozy nose. Hot, huge bourbon, sweet toffee, caramel. OK, big boozy barrels distract a bit from the base. Solid.

On tap at Beer Culture. Pours black with a brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bourbon with roasted malts, dark grains and a hint of smoke underlying. Flavor has string dark grains and roasted malts with a growing bourbon presence and a hint of smoke.
