Strawberry Whale Cake is the original in our Series of easy drinking Blonde Ales brewed with Fruit. Strawberry Whale Cake starts out as a traditional style Blonde Ale brewed with large quantities of Corn in the grist bill creating the classic medium body. We then double down on the fruit addition, in this case Strawberry to complement the easy drinking nature of the base style. Flavors and aromas of freshly picked strawberries from your local berry patch balances out the refreshing medium to light body on our favorite warm weather seasonal series.

Thanks to Nikki for this one on our 3 years waiting to visit in Vermont. Can that pours a hazy peach-pinkish colour, a slight off-white head, god stay and some decent foamy lacing. Strawberry nose with a caramel malt base. Same for taste, and a touch of vanilla, so feels a little like Creme Savers. Goes down easily, with some decent dryness in the finish to cut out the sweetness.

Winding down the work day with Palace/Leeds and this strawberry cream ale from Burlington. After having the watermelon last summer, this lacks significantly. Creamy strawberry, but not smooth, bit choppy.

16 ounce can shared by heather_B. Flavor shows a lake strawberry, mild bread, a very light sour hint. It kind of does give you the impression of a strawberry shortcake. It pretty much is what the Brewer says it is. Certainly worth a try.

On tap at Positive Pie. Pours a cloudy pink orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strawberry seed, vanilla, and wheat. Slick body, strawberry cream, light finish, decent.

Canned on 7/30/16.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a cloudy burnt orange color with a thin white foamy head quickly dissipating. Spotty lacing.
The smell had sweet and tart strawberry fruitiness up front. Subtle sweet cake-like creaminess underneath.
The flavor brings together all of the previously mentioned aromas. Sweet strawberry to creamy aftertaste with a sweet smooth finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a really good crushability about it. Lightly carbed with a smooth semi-stickiness about it.
Overall, this borderline cream ale by style wants to take it to the next level with some genuine strawberries and me, yeah, I dig this. Iβd have again.
