Empire Amber Ale is an English/American hybrid, made with English malts and American hops. It is clean and refined, with just the right balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin creamy white head. A light hoppy caramel aroma. In mouth, a rather weak pale ale with no malts and too much hops, veering on metallic. On tap at Empire, Nov. 17 2007.

Nice strong amber beer. Earthy brown in color, very little head. Almost reminiscent of another era (english strong ale) as it has ample caramel and a nice thick malty taste. Just the right amount of hops. Subtract some points because the taste is a bit muddled and dosent finish as clean.
