Karl emphasizes rustic, traditional Hefeweizen flavor characteristics found in small-batch breweries in rural Bavaria. cloudy burnt orange. off white yellowish creamy head. Nose is great. nice pepper and melon presence with oranges and super yeasty.Dense mouthfeel. the taste though, for a ‘hefeweizen’ it doesn’t have some of the classic flavors you’d expect. Certainly a european hop profile. wheat presence, not cloudy either but overall, it’s nice. it’s almost as if a wheat beer was brewed with a more standard US-05 or similar yeast. it lacks the depth but overall, I still like it.

Good sized draft sample at the Granite State Brewfest yesterday. Smokey earthy with lots of spicy phenols, some didn’t agree with me.
