Folk Metal is an oatmeal stout and a Fall/Winter seasonal release. Brewed with copious quantity's of oatmeal and oat malt for a medium to full body. Flavors and aromas of French Roast coffee, grilled figs, and dark chocolate. This is one of the most straight forward beers we produce and it's downright delicious.

473ml can [5.5% abv]. Opaque, darkest brwon colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, oaty, dark malty and slightly sweet caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee, coffee surrogate, some dark caramel, burnt caramel. Taste is roasty and chocolately, dark and oaty malty, minimally sweet caramel malty, hints of coffee, dark chocolate, burnt caramel, some roasty bitterness, some hop bitterness. Creamy-oily texture, smooth, minimally cloying, simultaneously slightly dry palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, immensely rich for its relatively low abv - good.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, vanilla and faint coffee. Pours pitch black color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with moderate sweet chocolate and roasted malt, following is coffeeish, ashy and dark fruity, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Metal up your ash…

Can. 5.5%. Black with quick fading caramel coloured head. Full bodied and malty. There's a sweet undertone but it is quickly replaced with nicely roasted bitterness. There's a touch of liquorice. Some coffee and dark chocolate too. Very good considering the low alcohol.

Can pour (ABV 5.5%) from Steve. Opaque inky black with nice viscosity, no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, bordering on coffee, dark chocolate. Taste follows aroma, oats. Smooth, thick, lively carbonation. Good strength for ABV and appreciate no adjuncts but one note. Too carbonated for me.

Across the world it tastes a little aged. Super dry, maybe a bit stale. But i can imagine fresh it’s a few point better. Good classic style though, not trying to make something out of pride. Beertemple ams

Optisch wunderbar, schöner dunkler Schaum. In der Nase röstig, Schokolade. Im Trunk Milchschokolade, dann herrlich röstig, bittersüß, würzig, sehr lecker.
