From old tasting notes. Hazy Amber orange color. Thick rocky beige head. Rich caramel malt nose. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor with an underlying hop spiciness. Complex hoppy fininisfinish. Very British in style and character. Well done.

Bottle #1 of Lake house weekend upstate. Price chopper does mix six of upstate brew. Nose is bready and earthy. Tastes of earthy hops, light malt, biscuits, some caramel. Not too bad

My wife brought this one down from a trip to Rochester. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot-caramel color with a large sudsy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faintly tart orange, lemon, dishsoap, chalk and Pez candies. The flavor was tart orange, lemon and Pez candies. Dry and dusty finish. Very heavily carbonated. Eh.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours amber gold with a creamy off-white head. Aromas of floral hop over mild roast malt. The flavor is intense and mild at the same time. Strong floral, but not very bitter; strong caramel but not very sweet. Somewhat spicy. I’m fairly certain the style is nailed here. Unless the flavor is too intense for our brethern over the pond. Oh to be in England.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large, frothy white head and a hazy golden body. The head sticks around for a long while. Aroma of nectarine and more citrus hops. Taste is watery and very bitter throughout. Not really balanced or good to the style. Lively mouthfeel and watery bubbles. Interesting beer.

Nice taupe head, which leaves a pleasant lacing. Reddish/orange color. Malty, bready, fruity aroma. Pretty bitter taste. Toffee and plenty of it. Leaves some aftertaste. Overall, it tastes really British.

12oz bottle-pours a rich off white head that alces and amber color. Aroma is nice resin/citrus hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is dry lemon/resin/citrus (northwest and English) hops with some bitter, secondary medium malt. Light/medium body. OK effervescence. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

Bottle. Hazy amber. Diminishing white head. Hop aroma — flowers and grapefruit. Hints of malty caramel. The flavor is lightly sweet and moderately bitter and moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture. Very dry, peppery finish that is lasting. Soft carbonation that is slightly fizzy in the mouth. This is either a weak IPA or a strong ESB — a U.S. version in either case. Interesting, but the dryness seems to drive the flavors apart more than they should be in an ESB.

Golden ale with a thick off white head. Light honey malt but not much in floral hops in aroma. Nice cookie dough malt with restrained bitterness and good citrus notes, lingering in finish. Some nice butterscotch and earthy nuttyness gives this ESB some good character. A lighter ESB fine for summer.
