Good old Tropical Rumble, new and improved, and brewed in To Øl City.

A hoppy, fruity, and most definitely a drinkable beer packed with Passion fruit, Peach, and Mango. Heaps of fruity mosaic hops paired with the best fruits we could find.

330 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 4.3%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Intense aroma of mango, peach and passionfruit. Thin and watery mouthfeel. Dry flavour, notes of said fruits, with a medicinal bitterness in the aftertaste. Not impressed.

Can. It's a clear, golden colored beer with some bubbles rising and a dense but crumbling finger-thick off-white head leaving some lacing. Very fruity aroma with some light malty hints. Peach, passionfruit, mango, cat pee and orange hints. It's fruity on the palate too, too low on bitterness I think, but there's not much sweetness either. The sweetness present is more of the fruity sweetness than the malty one. Canned peaches, passionfruit, mango and orange hints in the flavor, with a light grassy hint towards the very end. A refreshing and tasteful one indeed, but not enough beer-like in my book. Dangerously easy drinkable though. 180316

500 ml can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, with reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart/tangy peach, mango, passion fruit, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/earthy hops, fruits, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart/tangy peach, mango, passion fruit, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy peach, mango, passion fruit, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of of citrus/tropical/earthy hops, fruits, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with zero astringent hop/fruit flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness, tart/tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy/acidic/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited session IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of of citrus/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Fairly aggressive, but not overwhelming. Awesome juicy/dank hop and fruit complexity, with a solid pale malt backbone. The mosaic hops complement the tropical fruits perfectly. A highly enjoyable offering. One of the best session IPAs I have had.
