[Bottled]. Opaque muddy brown, lots of loating yeast, small tan head. Roasted malty and lactic aroma. Sweetish, milky, chocolaty, caramelly and metallic. Hints of tobacco in the finish. Quite sweet stout -like. Not very delicious.

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 2005. Black beer with no head. Nice dark syrup aromas with some molasses too. Bit thin in mouth and soft mouthfeel. Goodish sweetish fruit and syrup and then some hop. OK, quite a nice dark beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful mahogany colour, but almost no head. Very low in carbonation. Very roasted, malty nose. Flavours again of roasted malt, but I don’t really get any burned or ashy notes. This is rounded and soft with a smooth mouthfeel. 210403

Bottle Burned sugary aroma with some hard edges (bitter coffee), berries. Red-black, low head. Sweet creamy body, burned coffee, nut, fruit and chocolate flavors, quite some bitterness from the roasted malts in it, but I like that (however a bit longer lagering period to wear off the edges wouldn't hurt). Bitterhop in the exit. Creamy mouthfeel, relatively lightbodied - a bit more power here would have been good. Chocolate, toffee and coffee aftertaste with a hint bittering hops.

The aroma is a lightly sweet one with notes of caramel. The color is deep red - almost brown - and it has next to no head. The flavor is soft, sweet, caramellic with notes of roasted malt in the middle. It ends on a slight bitterness. It is a very well balanced beer with an OK palate.

Dark amber color, better head than the others. Again some honey in the aroma, malt, cereals. Good body strength, malty, a lot of caramel, some sweetness. Balanced palate. One of the most interesting and balanced, by Ørbæk.

Bottled. Mahogany colour. Spicy, yeasty aroma with notes of apples. Rounded and malty with some coffee flavour and rather low bitterness.
