330ml bottle from Rema 1000. Fawn coloured body. Moderate white head retention. Momentary smell of malt. Faint flavour of watered malt. Diluted mouthfeel (12.05.2007).

Bottle 0,33l. Pale yellow coloured with a fluffy white head. Metallic hoppy aroma. Sourish malty flavor. Some fruity notes in an otherwise cautious bitter finish. Interesting that a major Norwegian brewery dares to produce a beer that is not in the 4.5-4,7% range.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Lovely, fresh hop aroma. Light-bodied with some sweet malt. Discreet, hoppy finish. No flaws here, an easily drinkable light lager. 250506

Bottled. Golden with small white head. Second-to-none aroma, just a hint of malt and metal. Flavor is very much the same. Some bitterness in the finish. What is the point of making beers like this? (051112)

(330 ml clear bottle.) A beer of ABV 3.7% is unusual in Norway, Grans Lyst Øl (=Pale Beer, they don’t hide the truth) is not much better than their Lettøl at 2.5%. On the other hand, their pale lager and pilsener varieties of ABV 4.5 or 4.7% are not exactly God’s gift to mankind either. Lyst Øl has at least a hint of malts. Aroma is weak but not unpleasant. Hop bitterness is low as expected, and the usual Grans metallic aftertaste is there. Avoid.
