500mL bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Oats, dry brown sugar, and woody pine on the nose. Flavour has a rich oatmeal malt base, dry brown sugars, and woody pine from the Centennial. Good, solid body. Great american stout.

5 oz draft at Maine Beer Company in Freeport, Maine. The pour is an opaque black with a small khaki head. The aroma is a big roast with a hint of vanilla and general malt roastiness. The taste is a nice blend of the roast coffee malt with a touch of mineral and finishes with a perfect whisper of vanilla. The palate is medium bodied, nitro mouthfeel and the mineral dry hint of vanilla finish. Nice one.

Bottle from Binny's, dated Feb 20, 2024. Mild roast stout malt on top of the nose. Can't quite catch the vanilla here. Opaque brown to black color with a thin tan head. Beer is full of effervescence that's not typical of a stout. Vanilla comes in about halfway through. Nice strong stout malt aftertaste.

Pours a dark, cola-black, with minimal head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, burnt toast. Flavor follows. Not tasting or smelling the vanilla in this one. Mouthfeel seems a bit thin, though the ABV is pretty low, I guess.

Bottle. A- Roasty, char, cocoa, mild vanilla. A- Black color, black liquid, light brown head. T- Cocoa, roasty, char, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- A pretty plain jane stout with a whiff of vanilla Not bad but I wanted more complexity to it. Dare I say it's a tinge overrated.

Not worth the price tag, $11 for a 500ml bottle
