With yeast and hops in our trunks we teamed up outside Barcelona in Catalunya to brew this beer containing; an array or specialty malts, rye, moscovado sugar, hops and a hand full of Spanish cranberries (literally a hand full so don’t expect a fruit beer). Layered yet fresh, we sincerely hope that this beer will embody the passion, enthusiasm and hard work that went into making it.

Salud!

Thank you! 330 ml. bottle -> tasting glass. Nose date but probably 3 years old. Dark red amber, little tanned head. Nose has some oxidation with cough syrup, herbal, leaves. Taste luckily has no oxidation, herbal cough syrup, thick dark bread pleasant, low iron, metallic, herbal syrup finish,... Soft carbonation, herbal malty syrup. Has held up schokingly well, quite nice actually despite expectations.

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Rye, sugar and summer pit fruit aromas. Sweet caramel and toffee upfront turning to dry cranberry before the lasting bitter earth finish.

Hazy dark brown beer, massive pale tan head. Palate is light and a little dry with fine carbonation. Soft malt, slightly grainy. Hops are light piney citrus. Well balanced. Finishes semi dry with mild minerals and a mildly bitter aftertaste. Light and respectable.

330ml bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen

BBE 16/01/14 -- Pours dark reddish brown with a large foamy white head. Aroma of fruits, berries, hints of sweet caramel and malts. Taste is malty, caramely and slightly fruity with hints of herbal notes, rye, berries and grassy hops. Finish is dry and bitter with some hints of sugary, perhaps even slightly tart berries and grassy hops. Okay, surprisingly complex amber ale, but feels a bit unbalanced.
