Brown bottle, at and from Luc Bourbonnière (merci!), savoured on January 18 2015; nose: basement, malt, resinous hops; mouth: basement, malt, resinous hops, finale in malt with presence of hops, medium-full body, average carbonation, mildly bitter, lightly sweet, slick texture; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 12 onces, de et chez Luc Bourbonnière (merci!), savourée le 18 janvier 2015; nez : cave, malt, houblon résineux; bouche : cave, malt, houblon résineux, finale en malt avec présence de houblon, corps moyen-corsé, carbonatation moyenne, moyennement amère, légèrement sucrée, texture coulante; en résumé : correct

A dark golden DIPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice fruity caramel malt with smooth floral hops, resinous and piney, light sweaty notes, citrus pulp, nice. In mouth, a nice lightly sweet caramel malt with light treacle, floral resinous hops, light oxidation character, pleasant.

7.75% Cloudy amber - brown beer. Good pale cream coloured head. Palate is slightly soft and semi dry with fine carbonation. Soft caramel malt base. Big resinous hops. Bitterish pine and lesser skunk and grass. Mild hop sting. Balances well with the sweet malt. Semi dry finish. Pretty drinkable.

12oz bottle pours clear copper with a thin light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up sweetness and fruity notes like citrus hard candy and a dash of cherry candy. The aroma doesn’t deliver much hoppiness but the taste sure does. I get resiny bitter hops that start out pine sap like and then climb into grapefruit and orange peel. To midway it picks up off notes of sweet cherry esters as well as some biscuit malts. These last two notes pull the IIPA apart at the seams.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is rather faint, with grapefruit and pine dominating. Flavor is pine, grapefruit, spruce, some malt sweetness, butter. Mouthfeel is full and a bit creamy. Finish is medium bitter.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber orange with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has some musty pine with a good amount of grapefruit and just a hint of underlying caramel. Flavor begins with grapefruit and is joined by a musty pine note with more of a bread backing.

12 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a cloudy dark orangey amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of pungent grapefruits, piney and resinous hops, orange rind and caramel malts - quite high bitterness. Flavour of orange rinds, grapefruits, piney, citrusy hops, and just enough malt backing. While being quite bitter, it remains highly drinkable.

Bottle. Red orange pour. Thick lasting white head. Much lacing. Floral and citrusy aroma. Full bodied, flavour is well balanced hop. Hop character is pronounced but not overwhelming. Tangerine finish.
