We combined things we love, orange and chocolate, taking Bourbon County into a new and exciting direction. While the chocolate compliments the Bourbon County base, the orange zest offers a point of contrast for a bold new flavor profile to delight Bourbon County fans and newcomers alike. Pours jet black. Massively orangey with that covering up the chocolate and vanilla of regular bcs ok but I'm not a fan if orange chocolate mixes

Draft. So the Beerhead Bar in Elmhurst had one last blowout sale of their their packaged beers. And while shopping, they were pouring drafts of this. In an appropriate small snifter. The familiar heady smell of bourbon, but also with some chocolate. Black beer body, with a thin ring of bubbles around the edge. Taste on this 4-year-old beer is still smooth like a nice bourbon. Chocolate and orange are happily cooperating to stay on the palate without overwhelming. Always a treat to see how the BCS mellow out over time.

Black Friday always calls for clearing out the cellar a bit. Think this one might’ve gone a bit too long - supremely smooth but the orange is quite subtle and overpowered by the cacao. Wish I’d tasted it fresh also.

500ml bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is chocolate covered orange candy slice and that bourbon barrel notes. Taste is as the nose chocolate covered jelly candy orange slices.

Bottle from BCBS horizontal. Normal pour, thick, black with a thin layer of beige head. Orange is quite noticeable in the aroma and taste, adding more sweetness to the already mildly sweet base beer. Focusing on the single adjunct really makes this one pop, recalling a chocolate orange candy.

Bottle. Shared with SirAlex. Pours black with a small beige head and lacings. Intense bourbon and a touch of orange peel. Vanilla, coffee, roast and wood. Slick and oily. Vinous. Long warming finish. Delicious.
