Country Tick #118, Can at home, Golden beer, small head. Aroma is grainy, malt, some sweetness?, almost no hops. Taste is the same, sweet, grain, malt, hint of bitterness at the end. Ok lager if a bit weak. I mean its inoffensive as fuck but it goes down quite well after a long day so im not complaining

Beers of the World country 128: Uruguay 🇺🇾

"The beer is dark yellow in colour with a very thin bubbly head. It smells like a typical lager but sadly the taste does not live up to the smell. It is very watery with a small taste of grain towards the end. Slight bitterness as the taste quickly fades away. Still not as bad as it maybe sounds." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Can, my first one from Uruguay. (thanks Fredrik) Clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet and thin with cardboard and something that reminded of mushroom.

1/1/2019. Can from a shop in Montevideo and ‘enjoyed’ overlooking Plaza Independencia. Pale gold in colour with a white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, malt and metal. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, watery oily texture, quite fizzy carbonation. First beer in Uruguay and at least the view was great.

Bottle 620 ml in Montevideo. Clear golden color, good white head. Metallic, grainy aroma with some sweet corn notes. Light-bodied. Sweetish corn malty flavor. Fizzy. Low bitterness. Typical tropical lager without big faults.

Bottle in Colonia, Uruguay in 2005. I remember finding it funny the beer had a woman’s name. Clear deep gold, thick fizzy white head that dissipated fast with grassy flavors & a minimal hop presence. A typical macro lager.

Bottle @ Montevideo. Straw colour - very pale. Mostly grainy taste, with lots of fizz. Pretty bland stuff.
