Made from two row and malted wheat, Bourbon County Brand Wheatwine debuts this year. As the first recipe to veer from the original Imperial Stout since Barleywine in 2013, Wheatwine displays a deep amber color, lighter than its counterparts and acts a true medium to convey the characteristics of our 4+ year old Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels. Wheatwine overflows with flavors of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, and toffee.

Draft pour at goose island philly. This looks okay. Light reddish orange, 2 finger pale yellow head, sticky resilience. Very heavy on the candy sugar, brown sugar, caramel, toffee and wood. Touches of vanilla aroma. Very sweet. This tastes almost unfinished like they just sort of put this in a barrel then never added adjuncts or didn’t wait long enough. S’uper sweet, toffee, caramel, table sugar, ginger root, loads of vanilla and coconut. Tasty but way too intense right now. See you in 2 years!
