Tap at Capitol Beer Fest. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is definitely chocolate. Med , creamy body. Flavor is chocolate with a harsh bitterness and dark malt. It’s not sweet, yet not quite dry. Tasty beer.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy dark reddish brown with a decent beige/tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate and dark fruits. Flavour begins with this tastefully sweet chocolate and dark fruits, and finishes more bitter and sour, somewhat metallica. Interesting one.

Draught. Poured deep dark brown with thin tan head. Slight but pleasant aroma of chocolate and roast. Increased aroma as beer warmed. Chocolate and expresso notes in flavour. Light sweet chocolate finish that departed quickly. Not truly great, but not bad either.
