Cask at the fuller’s brewery multiple times in 2010. It pours dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, toast, cocoa, soft roasted malt, underlying sweetness and nut. The taste is roasty, toast, light coffee, mild acidity, caramel, berry, light bitterness and cocoa with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A solid mild by any measure if a little unexciting.

Cask@Akkurat, Stockholm. Very deep ambery colour with small beigeish brown head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts, some slight wooden and fruity notes. Flavour is quite similar and actually being very bitter at the same time. Nice pleasant and easy to drink brew with big bitterness in the finish.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark mahogany colour. Mild bready raisiny malt aroma. Mid sweet with light but firm body and clean mouthfeel. Slight salty hop bitterness cuts through the thin layer of caramel and chocolate. Coffee-like finish. Good enough well drinkable mild, but a bit clean.

Cask, handpump at The Chequers, Chipping Norton, Oxon 10-05-10 Pours dark brown with very little head to speak of. The aroma was a touch malty, with some caramel and also a slight sour note there. Taste was nutty and caramel but methinks that this was a little tired there was again a slight hint of sourness in the mouth. Not great will re-rate if I see it again. A5 A3 F5 P2 Ov10 2.5
