Pigs Ear afterparty at Chez Smith. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is fairly crisp and dry, decent fine carbonation. Earthy dry dark malts, a little coffee. Trace of dark chocolate. Mild spice. Light dry spicy linger. Dry and standard and disappointing from this brewery.

Bottle split at LKS, thanks to our host with the most, 05/12/17. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate, light roast, charr, spice, moderate coffee pinch. Taste comprises earthy dark fruits, toffee, light coffee, fruit cake, pinch of tobacco, spice. Medium plus body, spritzy carbonation, drying close. Ok sipper but lacks depth for the ABV and pretty average for the style.
