A dark brown beer, a head is quite small and brown. Aroma has riped and dried fruitness, prunes, also some fresher fruits and sweetness, hint of chocolate. Taste has richness of dried fruits, prunes, apricot, toffee, hint of spices in the end. The sweetness is strong but not too much. Almost full bodied, nice and smooth to drink, not stickyness. Sweet and dried fruity but still quite fresh. Tasteful.

Bottle, courtesy of the brewery. It pours a dark brown body under a light beige head leaving some lacing. The aroma is on the malty side, with some dark dried fruits and caramel. Quite a lot of spice-like aromas and flavors too, too much for my preference at least. Sort of weird-ish, it’s not really spiced but Christmas spices were my first though. There’s some alcohol influence all the way, leaving a subtle warmth on the palate, it’s full-bodied and rather smooth, with some bitterness in the back. There’s toffee, some roasted malt notes, a good dash of dried fruits and a faint yeasty touch. Lasting finish. It’s a fine brew indeed, but there’s something there that I don’t fancy. Guess I better try to find another bottle. 161112

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20161226) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had malts, caramel and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, sweetness, Belgian style yeast, booze and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, boozy and bitter. A too boozy and sweet brew.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark copper / ruby brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with fruity and roasty notes and touches. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt with notes og yeast and roast and touches of fruit. Cinnamon and Belagian yeast in the aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Decent but quite sweet.

Bottled 500ml (Vm Kirkenes)
Dark ruby red color, small steady beige head. Aroma has raisins, plum and candy sugar. Medium-bodied. Candy sugar, lightly berryish, plummy, raisiny. Quite sweet and even kind of simple even robust. Sweetness covers alcohol. Ok but could be a bit more dryer.
