4 pint takeway (cask) from the brewery - Very dark brown, almost black, with some red tinges when held to the light. Roasted aroma with notes of coffee, plain chocolate and liquorice. Smooth and roasted taste with notes of coffee, plain chocolate and malt. Easy to drink for its strength.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Black beer with disappearing tan head. Intense tarry malt aroma. Dark treacle in mouth. Good choc, some dark fruits. Good intensity of flavours. Roasted malt is very nice. Bit of ginger and a bit of damson I think.
