amber/orange pour, small white head that didnt last very long. I keep smelling this, and i’m not geting anything......its basicly like pale malt, and maybe some hops, but really there isnt much here. Flavour though is nice. I’m getting quite a bit of english hops, some nice goldings, and maybe some fuggles. A nice bitter finish, with some good citrus from the hops. Not bad.

This pours with one hell of an uncontrollable, whopping fizzbomb of a head. Smells a little like stale straw, which works to the beers credit considering the style. Taste has a little bitter honey and even a hint of grapefruit astringence. I’m probably appreciating this a lot more than I should considering I just got home from smashing bricks all day to pay the bills. Bottle.

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms, Linköping. Hazy golden, huge lively head. Fruity red apple aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Grainy and medicinal with slight salty minerally bitterness.

Originally rated July 2007. New arrival at the LCBO in Ottawa, comes in a six pack. Pretty good aroma of barley. Pours a golden colour with a slight haze to it. The head is white and creamy, with very good retention and lacing. Carbonation is quite active. Good refreshing mouthfeel with the taste of the barley and a light aftertaste of bitterness. Nothing too crazy, but a really nice summer Canadian pale ale.

This pale ale poured a light yellow colour with a nice big bright white head with a little lacing. To the nose there are scents of pineapple, yeast, apricots and a little earth thrown in. First taste was hoppy but a little watery. Strong floral hopps with a little bit of ripe fruit and corn ending with a yeasty finish. Palate is hoppy and bitter.

Named Roger’s Red Coat Pale Ale. Light hazed blonde with a thin white head. Fruity ester aroma with light yeasty notes. In mouth, a clean malt with little hops, veering into lager. Boring and thin. Nail remover develops as beer warms up. 660 mL bought at Kingston LCBO, Sept. 30 2006.
