Bottle @ home shared with Joes. Very dark brown color, full sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, a bit dry and some liquorice, brown malts, a tad sweet, perhaps slightly herbal notes. Medium body, medium carbonation. Ok beer.

Dark brown colour with thin fizzy head. Aroma has lots of sweet malts and caramel. Similar flavour with light warmth of alcohol. Good but too gassy.

At Wieze Bierfestival, 18 March 2018. Deputy Taster: Anke.
Hazy brown with a thing, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, spices, caramel, raisin & berries, tea leaves & herbs, nuts, some banana. It tastes medium malty sweet with hints of caramel and nuts, becoming medium spicy bitter. Dry, herbal, bit yeasty finish with warming alcohol - rather apparent. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation - too much, creating 'foam' in the mouth. Indeed, as the brewer himself told me, 'not a real Stout' in terms of taste (then why mention it in the description?). More of a Quadrupel with herbal qualities. I'm being lenient.

3/VII/17 - 33cl bottle from Zythos Bierfestival 2017 (Leuven) @ home - BB: X/2018 (2017-967)
Clear dark brown beer, big solid creamy towering beige head, very stable, adhesive, lots of lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, lots of alcohol, some phenols, banana, dried fruits, caramel, bit yeasty. MF: soft carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: bit sweet, malty, caramel, some chocolate, dried fruits, overripe banana, lots of alcohol, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: lots of alcohol, banana, chocolate, bit sweet, dried fruits, more alcohol, lots of dark chocolate, very decent!

At Zythos 2017. Pours dark brown with a medium foam. Aroma is roasted malts, yet rather soft Body is heavy and sweet with lively carbonation, toning down the sweetness, some nuts and caramel. Palate is sweet. Good, yet not entirely balanced.
