One-half pint, festival cask ale at JDWs Crosse Keys. Bubbly layer at the top of a near-clear, amber body. Spiced fruity nose. Lemony hops in flavour supported by mild spices. Dried fruit bitter sending. Ok, on par with the style (London, 05.11.2012).

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Toasty malt aroma, some grains and leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor with more toasted malts, subtle cocoa, mild leafy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish with pleasant toasted malt character, light earth and leaves, some baked brown bread and very mellow cocoa. A very decent beverage this, and at 3.5 one of the higher-scoring beers of this Spoons fest.
