White head, golden body. Faint hint of smoke. The mouth is a touch sweet and clearly malt driven, which is appropriate for the style. smoke is a bit too weak, but still very pleasant light drinkin beer that paired well with the Fish Tacos at Antenna America.

Sample at Daily Growler during the "Fat Head's Tap Invasion" on 09/26/2013. Clear yellow color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Subtle smoke and malt in the nose. Light body with flavors of smoked malt, grain and slight hops. The finish is mildly smoky with a short burnt malt aftertaste. Average overall.

Tap. Pours clear yellow with a medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma is a lot like smoked fish, strangely enough. Taste is smoky (not fishy :)), with notes of grain. Lightly sweet, no real bitterness, with the smoke coming through on the finish with a sweet note. Light bodied and interesting.

Cloudy pale colour. Smoky aroma with pale malts. Balanced and very tasty. Really nice, like an American take on a smoked version of Spezial Ungespundet.

On tap. Clear, pale yellow pour with a small, but lasting white head. Aromas are bready, straw, grainy and grassy malt. Light smoke character that is closer to leather and earth than outright smoke. Some smoked malt, maybe beechwood. Light sulfur and a hint of suntan lotion. Flavors are a bit more smokey. Smoke, meaty, bacon, leather. Nice biscuity and grainy, pils like malt roundness. Smooth. Medium carbonation, but a bit low for a Helles. Thin.
