Draught@Plevna, Tampere. Very deep rubyish brown colour, close to black. Mediumsized creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, liquorice, some toffee and mild ashes. Flavour is roasted malts, caramel, ashes and some ripe fruits. Chocolate and coffee in the burnt aftertaste. I actually don’t find that much smoke in it.

Draught @Pikkulintu. Poured black with a thin head. Strong smoke and peat aroma. Flavor is smoke, caramel and hops. Long but bitter finish with lingering smoke. Great smoked beer.

Dark brown color, small steady brownish head, lace. Ashy-smokey aroma with smoked ham and toastyness. Medium-bodied with soft palate (oat?). Chocolaty flavor with light German-type smokeyness. Very pleasant porter with not too aggressive smoke and good drinkability.

Pitch black colour with beige and thick head. Aroma has peat, coffee, gooseberry bush and smoke. flavour has peat and roasted malt. Creamy palate, smoky finish and aftertaste. Some berry-like flavour occurs at the end of the pint. Rather nice stuff, but could be even better with higher ABV.

Pours black with a small bubbly head. Strong smoked aroma with notes of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste has notes of roasted and smoked malts, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. Smooth, slightly bitter finish. Nice, well balanced smoked porter.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20111107) The beer poured almost black. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had smoke, liquorice and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied and a bit watery with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, liquorice, roasted malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy, roasty and bitter. Nice balance of smoke and roastedness but a bit thin body.
