Sweet bready malts, light grains, light grassy hops. Good carb, solid mouthfeel. More grassy hops in the finish with a slight bitter kick with a smooth cereal kicker.

Keg at Big Rig Brewery, Ottawa. Clear golden, small head. Bready, mildly buttery malt aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Grass, bread and mild butter. Mid bitter finish. Nice, deep malt profile. Good drinkability. Like a top fermented Dortmunder. My favourite from this brewer.

Can: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a nice large white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy cereal notes is not the most pleasant. Taste is also dominated by grainy unrefined notes with light cereal notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Malt bill is definitely not clean enough in my opinion.

Can from the LCBO. Clear medium amber with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a bit of lace. Nose is predominantly grain with a light bit of fruit and just a hint of grassy hops. Light sweet caramel, honey and fruit throughout with very light bitterness. Medium light slick mouth with soft carbonation and a crisp finish. Decent Blonde Ale.

Works well for style. Has decent crisp barley finish. Pours gold with ok head and lacing. Slightly sweet malt as well, with note of residual booze in finish, some bitter barley. Average carbonation. Tap at brewpub.

First beer of this brewery to be available at the LCBO, in a 6-pack. Pours a gold colour with a foamy white head, average retention and minimal lace. Big grainy cereal malt nose with a little grassy hop in the background. Pretty much the same for the taste. Nice bread malt with the hops in the finish. Aromas of caramel malt eventually come out. A big step ahead of macro lagers, for a typical lager.

A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, crisp malt with light sulfur notes and cheesy notes. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with faint chalky notes, grassy hops, not bad. On tap at brewpub, July 7 2012.
