330 ml bottle, as Bådin Tussvatnet Juleøl, batch #094, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.2%, 24 IBU. Dark brown colour, huge beige head. Pleasant aroma of dark malts, caramel and Christmas spices. Moderately sweet flavour, spicy, caramel, dark malts. Not much hops.

Shared bottle at DSJT at Cardinal 13.11.16. Copper. Foamy pale brown head. Aroma of coriander, cloves, berries and juniper. Similar taste. Fizzy carbonation.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Jekta Tromsø. Aroma gløgg, krydder, syrlig duft. Utseende sort med tett beige skum. Smak plomme, krydder med julestemning, litt syrlig. Denne juleøl er veldig god, med julesmak. Edit: den ble mindre syrlig når den ble mer temperert

Fra flaske på Cardinal DSJT nov-16: klar rødlig kobber med kjempefint skum. Mørke bær, ingefærnøtter, krydder (anis?) og appelsin i aromaen. Interessant smak også (malten gjør seg mer gjeldende her), med fin bitterhet og fylde. Lang ettersmak.

Bottle. A hazy mahogany colored beer topped by a dense two-finger dark beige head. Rather spiced and soapy aroma with some toffee and chocolate in the back. Ginger and Christmas spices in the flavor, less soapy than in the aroma. Roasted malts, some chocolate and a touch of bitterness too. Full body and a bit heavy carbonation. Long spice dominated finish with a lot of alcohol warmth and flavor. Too much spices for my likings here, and it’s way too warming as well. 151231

Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, ginger and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel and ginger finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

330ml bottle, lot. nr. 067, at Vertshuset Skarven. Shared with Finn. Fair beige head over a hazy brownish body. Minimal lacing. Gingerbread up front on the nose. Brown malts beneath. The ginger is not that prominent in the taste profile, but downplayed by caramel malts, star anise, and fruity bitterness towards the ending. Soft in the mouth. Decent seasonal brew (Tromsø 16.12.2015).

Flaske 330ml fra Skarven. Delt med Rune. Svart. Middels høyt lett farget skum som daler sakte. Bra krydderaroma. Mest ingefær men også en del kanel. Smaken behagelig krydret. Mest kanel men også kardemomme. Bra balanse. Fint julepreg. Gjørmete siste kvelling.
