Costa Ricans have been enjoying this beer since 1924. Imperial is created from a balanced formula combining malts, grains and hops, without a pronounced overtone in its taste. It is what is known as a “centralized” beer. Adapted to a warm and spring-like climate, Imperial is Florida’s most popular and widely accepted beer, both nationally and internationally, and has thus become the favorite beer of Costa Rica.

Bottle@San Jose, Costa Rica. Golden beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty and dry, and the flavour is dry with gentle watery yeastiness. Overall an average pale lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear near-transparent yellow color with white head. Aroma is very neutral, a bit of corn, but hardly anything there. Taste is sweet, corn,. Medium carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. Just alright, neutral.

Shared bottle. Clear straw, white head. Aroma and taste is that of a typical macro lager. Mild all around with a little bit of skunk.

12 oz bottle poured. Huge thanks to my Dad for thinking of me while in Costa Rica! and every other travel destination. Pours a clear apple juice color with no head or lacing. Really odd grain nose here. Skunky i suppose, but different. Flavor is really watery over straw grain. Too watery to have a super offputting flavor profile. Fun try, but a beer that would be probably be enjoyable in Costa Rica, and that’s about it.

Pale yellow medium body moderately carbonated lager without much to commend it. Mild grassy hops taste with a brief finish.

Bottled 355ml. -Trade with CH-303 (thanks Asbjorn!). Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, weak green apple in the nose. Watery, notes of cereals and corn with again green apple touch in the finish. As usual.
