Handwerklich eingebraut nach dem B ayerischen Reinheitsgebot von 1516. Heftig getorftes, schottisches Malz. Einzigartiges Rauchbier weitab klassischer Vertreter mit Buchenholzaroma . Entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Nürnberger Whisky Club ‚The Most Venerable Order Of The Highland Circle’, dem Georg Rittmayer angehört. Nichts für Malzbiertrinker.

Bottle. Color: Clear copper, white head. Aroma: Peat. Taste: Sweetish malty, peat, caramel notes, light hoppy background. Peat is clearly present, yet more subtle than expected from the aroma. Peaty finish. Nice one, in one way I like the subtleness and the way the 'typical German' maltiness is coming through but in the other way it's not as exciting as I was hoping for. Missing some of the smoky part of it, it's peated but not really a Rauchbier in my opinion. That said, it's a mix of two worlds in an ok but slightly disappointing way.

19-20-20 // bottle. Darker copper. Heavy heavy peat nose. Burnt gum. Taste is more sweet honey bock like. Milder peat. A bottle is tough but interesting stuff.

Bottle thanks to some German guy. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium foamy beige head. The aroma is rich and earthy, peat reek, bonfire, brown bread, rivita, fruit cake and a dull sweetness akin to fruit cake. The taste is dry and robust, bitter - sweet, oily,} smoked action, savoury, meaty, plenty of peat reek, slightly medicinal, toothy, dull toffee, touch of malt loaf. Finish has lingering smoke. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Robust and unctuous. Works for me.

Bottle. A- Peat, smoke. A- Dark copper color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Smoke, peat, woody. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smoky finish. O- Wow. This is a smoke bomb. Chock full of peaty goodness and while not complex it's still going to come at you like a big puff of cigar smoke right to the face. If scotch were a beer, this would be it. An awesome smoked beer that I wish was available near me. I crave the smoke and this filled that desire.

Bottle at home on the roof. Pours clear rusty copper brown with a thin offwhite head. Massive peat aroma spreads in the air and my tastebuds start bouncing of joy. The taste is sweet malts, heavily peated malts, watery salmiak, corn skin peels from popcorn. It’s moderate sweet and bitter, a bit sickly greasy and weird while the good parts of the aroma remain a bit thin and watery. Medium body and soft carbonation. Fair play but I’ll stick with my other rauchies. --- Beer merged from original tick of Smoky George Kraftbier on 03 Jul 2019 at 16:22 - Score: 7

On tap at Zagreb Beer Fest 2019. Clear amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, pure peated nose. Light toasted malt, heavy peated, light caramel and subdued alcohol with touch of rubber in the finish. Nice and enjoyable.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 32A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 19:52C (BBF 10.04.19). AROMA: medium-high peat smoke aroma. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium-low ivory head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with initial medium peat smoke note, followed by a medium-low slightly sweet malt with faint notes of caramel. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry and smoky finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a smoked beer with the use of peat smoked malt, a bit unbalanced.

Many thanks for this beer to Mariusz. Coz za aromat, bardzo dymny, wedzony, siarkowy. W smaku juz delikatniej, karmelowosc, nieco wedzonej delikatnej szynki oraz przyrumieniona kruszonka w piekarniki na szarlotce. Barwa bursztynowa piana srednia i srednio trwala. Chyba wersja pierwotna bardziej mi smakowala.

Flasche bei Hopfen&Malz in Berlin. Dunkles klares Bernstein, mit vielen kleinen Kohlensäurenketten. Kein Schaum. Aroma: Rauchrig, Osteuropäische Treppenhäuser in den Achtzigern (verschmortes Plastik), pikant geräucherter Speck. Trotz dieser Beschreibung interessantes und positives Aroma. Geschmack: Rauchrig, frische Asche, Torf, etwas Frucht dezent im Hintergrund. Geräucherter Speck, Whiskeynoten. Im hinteren Teil leichte Bitterkeit.
