2x4’s award winning cousin. The * Imperial IPA uses copious amounts of mosaic hops that give this beer strong notes of tropical fruit, stone fruit, mango and berries. Brewed with a blend of northwest 2-row, light crystal, mosaic hops and some stuff you don’t even know about.

Thank you BuckeyeBoy! 355 ml. can sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). Lightly hazy orange, small white head. Nose is lovely onion & garlic hop oil, rich, potent. Taste is just basic big very nice onion & garlic hop, low cheese, melon. Body is the same big hop oil, might use some malt presence but very pleasant brew all the same, neat.

No head; hazy yellow-golden beer; Hops, citrussy, vegetable frying oil, palm oil, arachide, moambe, mushrooms. Sweet-sourish bitterish flavour - very good balance indeed. Muscat de Samos, but bitter instead of sweet; cheese. Slick, well-bodied, low on carbonation. Not one to rave about, but more than decent.

On tap at Hamiltons Tavern, San Diego. (my first beer from Wyoming) Golden with a small white head. Fresh and hoppy with tropical fruit, pine, light malt and some caramel. The body was medium as was the bitterness. A nice one.

Truly next level shit like The second Elite Squad movie in Brazil. Mango, pine and a slight hint of vanilla. Crazy - never had anything like this. Some green onion. Tap at Churchkey.

Crowler fill from Growler Guys. Aroma is mango, pineapple, fruit cocktail. Pours slightly hazy golden with a thick off-white head with great retention and lace. Taste is lightly bitter with flavors of the aroma along with some light onion/garlic, cough drop. Tasty, but the aroma is more impressive than the flavor.

The aroma is fading a bit. But the mouthfeel is so lean and moderately sweet that this beer has to be the most drinkable IIPA around; the hops still are very pungent. Getting hints of sage, why not.
I wish I had a minikeg of this in my fridge.
Delicious.

So drinkable!

2016-11-09, daught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 9% ABV, 8-4-9-5-18=44
Hazy blond color. Pungent fruity aroma, passion fruit. Crisp malt backbone, very light residual sweetness, and the hop is an explosion of tropical fruits, with a more resinous and dank note in the final. If anything, it has some alcohol feeling.
Fantastic modern IIPA.
