Inspired by London's most famous beer style, Fuller's imperial-strength take on this 19th-century favourite. With a complex malt make-up, this beer offers the smoky, mocha flavours of our classic London Porter. The addition of black treacle to the brew brings with it a sumptuous layer of velvety caramel, which nicely offsets the hop bitterness. This Limited edition beer is brewed to mature, with its flavours developing over time. Bottle conditioned, a natural sediment will form - so store upright and pour carefully.

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and a bit of alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle at Ratebeer tasting at Daves, Unterhaching, München, Friday 4th February 2022. Pours almost black in colour, peeling away to brown at the edges, this is super lovely, wonderful smoothness, light chocolate, beautifully balanced beer. Lovely, really great.

Bottle, thanks Fin! Dark brown. Very interesting nose with smoke, brandy-like notes, light roasted malts. Delicious on the tongue, lightly acidic, very complex with dark caramel and woody hints. Relatively sweet overall. Nice smooth mild bitterness at the end.

Mörkt rödbrun med bra skum. Doft av söt lakrits och kola. Mjuk och rund smak av lakrits, kola och en lätt touch av rökt skinka. Lite kärv alkohol på slutet.
Storbryggerierna kan om dom bara vill.

0.5 l bottle from 'Rudat, best before December 2029. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little fruity aroma of chocolate, licorice, molasses, coffee and plum. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty, a bit fruity taste of coffee, licorice, chocolate, some molasses and traces of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, gently earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth, creamy to oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Superbly balanced beer, very rich but still more than just quaffable, fits well into the range of 'Imperial' named beers like Fuller's Imperial Stout and Imperial IPA.
