Inspired by London's most famous beer style, Fuller's imperial-strength take on this 19th-century favourite. With a complex malt make-up, this beer offers the smoky, mocha flavours of our classic London Porter. The addition of black treacle to the brew brings with it a sumptuous layer of velvety caramel, which nicely offsets the hop bitterness. This Limited edition beer is brewed to mature, with its flavours developing over time. Bottle conditioned, a natural sediment will form - so store upright and pour carefully.

500ml bottle in a blue box bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Firm, bubbly, fawn-coloured head resting over a near-black body with a deep ruby shade. Clingy lacing. Inviting smell of dried fruits and subdued notes of smoked malts. Rich taste profile of chocolate and caramel malts together with dried fruits. Roasted bitterness to a malt-driven, warming, lingering finish. Velvety smooth on the swallow. Well bodied. Enjoying sipper on a Friday eve. (Tromsø 29.11.2019).

Deep dark brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma of dark chocolate, soy sauce, some licorice, roasted nutty and some dried berries; taste of dark chocolate, dried berries, plum and cherry, slight anise and licorice, as well as burnt sugary notes; excellent imperial porter!

Bottle. It pours a dark reddish brown body under a finger thick dark beige head. Lacing. The aroma is quite heavy, roasted, sweetish and with dark dried fruits, licorice and some plums. It's full bodied, faintly warming and smooth on the palate, softly carbonated, with a pleasant carbonation. Roasted malts, dark chocolate notes, dark dried fruits and some licorice in the flavor. Long finish. A pleasant malt driven and not to sweet one. 191109
